Billetes! Quien Necesita Billetes por Los Expos?
The Expos games in San Juan are selling at a brisk pace according to MLB. This may weigh in their favor for acquiring the team.
"I'm pleased to be where we are, considering it's the first weekend," said Claude Delorme, executive VP of Business Affairs for the Expos. Included in that 3,000 are all of the seats priced at $85 each behind home plate, and two-thirds of the seats priced at $75.Delorme said that despite the relatively high price of the best seats in the house, the Expos have tried to price the games so that nearly everyone could afford to attend at least one game, with 51 percent of the seats costing $25 or less.
Included in that range were 57 season-ticket packages for the outfield bleachers the club sold on the first day. These purchases required a true leap of faith, considering that those bleachers don't exist and are still on a lengthy "to-do" list before the Mets and Expos square off on April 11.
