Jon Weisman informs me that my research on the Dodgers and their (once) 12-2 record got a mention from Steve Henson in The LA Times yesterday. That was great, but couldn't they have at least given me a plug?

I feel your pain, Mike. I've had a couple of those myself. Plugs are so easy, and they're perhaps the only REAL way for a journalist to give you a compliment. I have heard from some writers that their editors won't allow the plugs because they are too much like advertising. Of course, that's bullshit. ;-)
